Kidepo Valley National Park
4x4
Kampala
Dec - Feb & May - Aug
Overview
Located in the remote northeastern corner of Uganda, Kidepo is one of Africa’s
finest wilderness areas. Its rugged landscape and large mammal populations,
including cheetahs, ostriches, and striped hyenas, offer an untouched, spectacular
Big Game Safari experience away from the crowds.
The best time to visit Kidepo Valley National Park is during the dry seasons, from December to February and June
to September, when the weather is sunny, the savanna is dry, and wildlife congregates around water sources.
These months offer excellent game viewing, making it easier to spot lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and rare
species unique to Kidepo.
The wet seasons (March–May and October–November) bring lush greenery and stunning landscapes, but some roads
may be muddy and less accessible. Birdwatchers will enjoy this time, as migratory species visit the park.
Zem Safaris Tip: Plan your Kidepo safari alongside other Ugandan wildlife destinations, such as Murchison Falls or Lake Mburo, for a complete African adventure.
This package blends wild safari with spectacular natural scenery and cultural immersion.
